As the weather finally starts to cool down and the leaves begin to turn brilliant shades of red and orange, it’s time to get your home prepped for autumnal temperatures. It won’t be long before the holiday season is in full swing and it’s time to host family and friends for end-of-year festivities. Before that can happen though, be sure to go through our October maintenance checklist to ready your home for the upcoming months.
Clean Your Dryer Vent:
If clothes aren't drying as quickly as they used to, it's time to clean your dryer vent.
Stow Your Garden Hose:
Drain and store your hose before temperatures drop.
Clean Range Hoods & Fan Blades:
Remove flammable grease before you start your holiday entertainment.
Trim Tree Limbs:
Make sure nearby branches and limbs are safe from falling on your home.
Check Your Fireplace:
Clean your firelace flue from cresote buildup and make sure there are no cracks.
Test & Replace Outdoor Lights:
Check lights on your front/back porch, garage, deck and driveway.
